Wait wait wait wait Nuntius is a fan of the males as well then?
THE WANDERING SUMMIT Answer:
Nuntius’ sexuality is a bit of a mystery. Publicly, he tends to surround himself with women, but the lack of scandals, trysts, rumours, and the like have led some to doubt what would otherwise appear to be flamboyant heterosexuality.
I’ve put the rest of my answer under the cut because a thorough explanation of Nuntius’ sexuality requires some theorising on homosexuality in Altmeri society, which may not be to everyone’s tastes.
I’ll be reblogging this partly to comment, partly to save it and to keep it in mind.
I think that this is a fair stance to take on sexuality in Altmeri culture considering how coldly they seem set upon merely propagating purity of bloodline and their own “name”. Marriage is indeed less about love and sexuality than it is political and social alliances. I think beyond all that, personal preferences are free and open for all who have “earned the right” to do more as they please.
Born to mer who preferred the moniker of Relleis, Sarinteal - favoured son of Triahna and Daeldion - was Thalmor.
Known by a quiet, but controversial reputation throughout the course of the First Era; like many of this period, Sarinteal’s deeds are recorded sparsely, if at all, and remain unreliable in their telling.
Truth or fantasy, the earliest antics of this once-young mer persists as one of the more popular folk tales among Altmer tending toward polite contrarian sensibilities.
